MEGA Post

I have NOT been doing so well at the blogging thing lately. I've been playing with and paying lots of attention to my kids. We've had fun!! Here are just a few of the things we've been up to...

We made some paper pumpkins for our Halloween craft. The girls were lots of help, they had a great time helping me sort the colors out and put the pumpkins together. (and can I say that I just love the perfect placement of Lily's pink pumpkins??)

Kaylee after an Oreo feast

Riley wearing a sweater I made for Kaylee last year.

Face painting!! So much fun. I did the girls' faces. They both worked on mine:)

This picture looks so bad because it actually a picture of a picture on my cell phone. We went to Kmart and Lily was beyond excited to see this blow-up Dora!!

After 4 and a half years of marriage I opened our last wedding gift! I was making tortillas. Yum!

And FINALLY!! :

These two pix are from our ward Halloween party. (and yes, we do have three GIRLS. One of them absolutely insisted on being Spiderman. Whatever, we were cool with it.)

Trick or Treating. The girls had soooo much fun!! Lily saw another Spiderman while we were out. They were SOO excited to see eachother. They pointed and jumped and waved to eachother. It was the cutest:)

...and how 'bout a cutest tiny sleeping baby?

Family Pics

Our fabulous friends, the Osbornes, took our pictures the other day. Heather is taking a photography class and needed a photo of a group of 5 so she thought our family would be perfect for the job:) Here are a few of the shots.

"Do Gucks Eat Gog Food?"

These are pictures of the "Guck Pond" When I told Lily we were going to feed the ducks at the duck pond she asked me if, "Gucks eat gog food?" I love their funny little words. And its actually kind of sad when they learn the right words. For example, Lily was counting the other day and she said, "one, two, free... I mean, th-reeee..." and it shot a tiny little pain through my heart. So they can call ducks and dogs "Gucks and gogs" for as long as they want. Okay, maybe not...

Anyway! We went to the park with our friend Heather. She's super cool and we love her. Here are some pics...

Kaylee chasing the ducks, this is probably the best part. We went the week before this and Taylor (Heather's husband) chased the ducks around and tried to catch one for the girls. Its funny to see them all scurry away.

Heather and Kaylee feeding the duckies. These things are NOT shy. We have to guard the girls or the ducks will rip the bread crumbs right out of their hands!

Lily feeding the ducklings, Aren't they cuuute???!

Cute little ducklings
We had a lots of fun that day.. We also got to hang out at Heather's, she fed us Macaroni and Cheese (our fav) and let the girls try on all her cute shoes.

Here are some EXTRAS. I just thought I'd toss them in:)

Crazy Woman Driver.

Two of the cutest girls in the world.

Flower Tutorial

Okay being that this is my very first tutorial, you will have to (please) bear with me!! You will need some coordinating (or not) fabric scraps, needle, thread, hot glue and a button cover set, (sorry I don't have a pic!! Its kind of like this one, but I got mine in the craft section at wal-mart.) I think thats it...

Okay step 1: find some scraps, cut one about 1.5 inches x 12 inches. Cut the other 1 inch x 12 inches.

Layer the 1x12 on top of the 1.5x12, lining the bottom sides up.
Using your needle and thread, sew a running stitch along the entire bottom edge.

Bunch the fabric all up

Make sure your flower is as bunched up as you want it. Being careful not to let the thread slack, hold the two short sides right sides together and sew together using a backstitch.

Lay it down and admire your work so far:)

Cover a button and glue it to the center.

Cut out a circular piece of felt and glue it onto the back.

Attach an alligator clip, hair pin, brooch, etc... I used an alligator clip, its lined with cabinet lining to give the clip a no-slip grip.

See? Piece o' cake!! Clip it on to your precious girlie's head and take pride in your craftiness.
I'm happy to answer any questions! OH, and let me know if I missed a step:)!! Not feeling too crafty?? You can find one for sale in my Etsy shop!! Have a greeeat day!!
